Left Navigation Frame

The Left Navigation Frame is a key element of NetTutor®. It will always be present in all aspects of NetTutor®. It contains various links related to your level of access. There are some links that are always present, and others only certain access levels can view. Here's a list of the links in the Left Navigation Frame, and what they do.

Links available to students and all other users:

Home

The Home link will take you to a listing of the groups you belong to, or if you only belong to one group, will take you to the Group View of that one group. When you are in the Group View, indented underneath the Home link, you'll see the name of group you're currently in.

Manage Account

This will take you to information about your account, and allow you to change some of the information associated with your account, like your email address, password, name, etc.

View Stats

This link will allow you to view stats for the groups you have stats access to. If you don't have stats access to any groups, then you will not see the View Stats link in the Left Navigation Frame. If you are a group administrator or site administrator, then you will always have this link.

About NetTutor

You can jump to the NetTutor® website for more information about NetTutor®.

About Link-Systems

This will take you to the website for Link-Systems International, the company that owns NetTutor®.

Logout

At the Login page, if you checked the checkbox to have NetTutor® remember your password, you will have the Logout link in the Left Navigation Frame. If you want to change users, or just not have this computer remember your password anymore, click this link. It will take you back to the Login page, and allow any other user ID to be used.

Tutor My Groups

If you are a tutor in at least one group, then you will have the Tutor My Groups link in the Left Navigation Frame. When you click on this link, the Main Content Frame loads the various options and buttons dealing with the Tutorial Mode of NetTutor®.

Q & A Center

If you are a tutor in at least one group, then you will have the Q & A Center link in the Left Navigation Frame. When you click on this link, the Main Content Frame loads the various options and buttons dealing with answering offline submissions in the Q & A Center.

Manage Group

If you are a group administrator in at least one group, then you will have the Manage Group link in the Left Navigation Frame. When you click on this link, the Main Content Frame loads the various options and buttons dealing with administration of your groups and users.

Customize

If you are a group administrator in at least one group, then you will have the Customize link in the Left Navigation Frame. When you click on this link, the Main Content Frame loads the various options and buttons dealing with customizing some aspects of your groups, like logo banners, group images, and text and background colors.

If you are a site administrator, then you will have the Manage Site link in the Left Navigation Frame. When you click on this link, the Main Content Frame loads the various options and buttons dealing with administration of NetTutor®.
